You Are A Wonder

Compliments of the season Sis, I pray that the joy that this season brings gives us joy unspeakable full of glory. In the spirit of Christmas and as we round up the year 2018, I will like to share this with you: Christmas is a day set aside to mark and celebrate the birth of Christ. The circumstances surrounding His birth didn't look like the miracle that had been foretold. Inspite of the unpleasantness, the miracle spoke forth and we all can now approach boldly the throne of grace. Imagine this, Herod was furious at the birth of baby Jesus. How can an existing ruler of a kingdom be furious at a baby?! really? How?! Herod saw beyond the current baby status. See, the devil sees beyond who or what you have now...he sees what you can become hence the reason for all that you've passed or passing through...That tells me something Sis, you are a wonder! Isn't that worth thanking God for?! In fact you went through all that you went through because you're a force or...

Happy 2019 in advance

Hello Sis, Happy 2019 in advance! Over here in the Winners Family Worldwide, we have begun another year and it is not too late for you to join us. Are you ready for the year yet or you are still waiting till the next few days or even 31st? As important as your prayer points for the new year are, so are your goals too. Permit me to share an experience with you, last week, I had all my goals and targets for 2019 well written on paper. Although, I have not strategized on them all. That same week, I saw an opportunity that presented itself to hit one of those goals. This taught me a great lesson. First, goals open our eyes to see opportunities that could have been considered a 'mere event'. Second, the earlier the better you set your goals, the faster you begin smashing and accomplishing them. Do not wait till the end of the year. Sit, map out those goals. In fact, even if you do not have strategies to accomplishing yet, when an opportunity comes, you would be abl...

A.L.L. Things Work...

Hello Sis, I bring you today's word of encouragement from Romans 8:28 "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them." Note that the bible did not say all things are for our good. This is because God knows that the enemy plants tares as we journey through life. Nevertheless, He is able to work the unpleasantness, the bad and the ugly to our good. The word 'work' is an action word used when putting things that naturally are not the same to produce result. You'll hear a chef say something like "I'm trying to work these ingredients together"..meaning ideally they do not match but with his/her culinary skills (s)he can work out something good. As believers, we need this understanding that with God being our chief chef, he works all our life's experiences together for our good. If all that happens to us are good then, 'there would not be ...

Handling Criticism

Hello there! Today I would be sharing on something quite sensitive to a number of us - criticism and ways to handle it better. I personally don't like to be criticised (i don't know about you) but I'm sure I am not the only one that feels this way. This is something the Holy Spirit (HS) is helping me with at the moment and I trust that it will bless you. I consider criticism as disapproval of how something is done. Whenever someone criticises me, I get super defensive and in the bid to defend myself I get annoyed....then I miss out on what I could I've learnt to get better. One person i often receive criticism from asides my superiors at work is my husband. He feels I can handle things better. And girl! it has never gone down well with me until recently when I had prepared my defense and the HS began to make me do a heart check. Its almost the end of the year and we would be receiving criticisms or even feedbacks from superiors at work, friends, colleagues, and...

If you can think, you can thank....

Dearest Sister, I trust you are well. On a lighter note,  type the word 'thanksgiving' on google, click images and you would be amazed at what you would see. Just don't salivate too much..lol Thanksgiving is an attitude not a gift/fruit of the spirit and it can be cultivated. Also, it is not a day in the calender year, it ought to be our lifestyle. To think is to give something or someone a thought in your mind. If you dominate your thoughts with the things you don't have, you will never see the things you have let alone be thankful for them. In a noisy world that we live in, the devil will without hassle (using various means) let you see the things you do not have yet, the things that aren't working as you had envisioned, it is your responsibility to re-route your thoughts to the things that are working for you and thank God for them. For instance, you are 'sad' about not having enough shoes to wear? Why don't you see it as, you have abled...

No place for doubt

Hey sisters, Recently, I was reminiscing on the highest level of doubt I ever displayed in God. I was in 200 level in the University and I remember taking this course that was so scary. It was a course students rejoiced at an "E" grade and even shared testimonies. In fact, having an "E" meant you were a little brilliant and you did well. After I sat for the practical and the examination, I knew only grace could save me from rewriting that course the following year. Usually, I would give my handouts and textbooks to those in lower levels after the semester exam. But, I did not give this out. I felt it was only going to be unreaslistic of me to give out this particular course's materials since I was going to be needing it likewise. In my opinion, that is the highest level of doubt in God. Our ever Faithful God saved me and I passed the course actually. Sometimes in our lives, we express doubt in God. Will He do it? What if? And all that. Having an un...

Prayer II

Sisters, Today's posts is a sequel to the previous post on Prayer and I pray that you would be blessed. Prayer is having a conversation with God. A conversation is not a conversation without dialogue. It is a two way communication where you talk to God and he talks back to you through His word. That's why it is impossible to have a good prayer life without His Word. You must know that an empty spirit man cannot pray. You need God's word to dwell richly in you to tarry in prayer. Another thing about prayer is that we ought to pray proactively rather than wait for things to happen before resolving to pray about, that is dangerous. In a good marriage, a spouse tells her partner her plans and movement for the day ahead of time. So the husband is well aware of her dealings and can profer suggestions on how to go about things better if need be. This is the same way God wants to be carried along in every detail of our lives. Real prayer is about showing how much you lov...

2018 Wrap up Hints

Hello Sis, Have you taken time to re-evaluate yourself lately? One thing I can tell you is, it is not too late to re-strategize. Never! If whatever it is that you are doing isn't productive, it is only wisdom that you sit back, evaluate and take actions. One truth I have realised lately is, "there is excitement in productivity". I am sure you can relate to this. Likewise, it isn't too late to set attainable goals even before the end of the year. I am a witness to this, nothing is ever too late. Basically, this short post is a wake up call to our goals & activities, evaluating, restrategizing and smashing the goals. Lastly, ask for the help of the Holy Spirit, He always has the best strategies, so let Him in! Love always😍😘

Prayer

Hello Sisters, Welcome to the month of November, my prayer is that it shall be one to remember for us. May the God of eleventh hour show up for us. This year shall end in praise in Jesus Name. I would like to admonish us never to stop praying. This might sound a little cliche but you see its easy to stop praying especially when it seems we aren't getting answer to prayers. Honestly, I have been on this road before not just before, even in this year. I have seem so close to an answered prayer (started giving thanks infact) and suddenly things turned the other way. Oh! I was 'disappointed '. Believing God for anything for myself became a struggle let alone pray for myself. I could believe God for others and join them in prayer but when it comes to ask God for myself, I couldn't. This somewhat put a strain between me and God. Nevertheless, here's the victory, I  realised the enemy was only messing with my head afterall, the bible says ask that your joy may...

Move that mountain

Hello Sis, Happy New Month! Welcome into a brand new day and month. It is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it💃💃💃. Hey sis, don't be depressed. Don't be hopeless. Regardless of the past disappointments, have faith for your next desire. It's easy to want to give up and think that since our faith did not yield results in the past, then it's probably not going to for the next desire. " Don't let past failures fool you. One failure isn't enough to negatively alter the course of your life! Absolutely not!" - Joys Oyedepo (Growing in Faith) We have nothing to loose trusting God but we have everything to loose not trusting Him. Brood on the past breakthroughs you have had and hold unto them as your sickle of harvest for your desired testimony. You should also bear in mind that every challenge is just a phase that must pass. So, jerk up your faith and move that mountain. Don't be too weak to fight. Feeling dra...

Growing Through Pain

Sisters, How are you all doing? it's another beautiful week and I am grateful for His mercies over you and I. Today, I'll be talking about one of the things I consider a 'must-go-through' process for every believer. Growth could be some what inconveniencing as it requires doing things outside our comfort zone.  Its more convenient to drink milk as a baby than chew meat. Unfortunately,  no one survives a lifetime taking milk alone. Growth is essential for us all and it comes with several dynamics. For instance, a seed that must grow is first buried (covered up with sand) in the soil.  Being buried in 21st century could mean a lot. E.g not being visible as you desire among your social class....Not having the 'cool stuff' of our generation....going through a phase of pruning where it seems God is always not allowing you have the seemingly desired things (I hope you get my drift on this). You know what being buried means to you.  Undo...

A life of surrender

Hey pretty Sisters, I thought to write to you on “Surrender” today and I would like you to open your heart. If you haven’t felt Him (you know that connection you feel when the Holy Spirit is in you) in a while, or you feel lost, or empty and dry, whichever, I would like you to stay glued to your screen and read every line of this post. I trust the Holy Spirit to minister to you. The life of a Christian is a life of surrender to God through His Spirit, such that even when we are not fine with His will or we think ours seem better, we are still able to say, “Lord, only Your will be done”. Can I be frank with you, sis? There is nothing called partial surrender, He is either Lord of all, or Lord of none. When we begin to demarcate the boundaries to which God leads in our lives, we begin to drift Him far from us. The moment we say, You can way your way in my career but not in my relationship with Smith, we eventually end up not hearing Him again- even in our career. If there is an...

Where Have I Been?

My Dearest Sisters, Its sure been a long time and i am so glad to be back. I have missed connecting with you all and i apologise for the brief hiatus. First, I thank God for this network of the women of the God kind and the success of the just concluded convention. It's been 3 amazing years of God's evident wonders in our midst and truly, He is so mindful of us. Now to where I have been, It's good news! On the 13th of September, my family and I welcomed our latest addition - Baby Akorede Nathan and since then I have been trying to get a balance of everything....handling one toddler, nursing a baby, sleep routine, and all that stuff. But what is there not to thank God for? I praise God from whom all blessings flow. For supernatural childbirth, I am thankful. This is my second birth experience and both were supernatural. I remember when I read the book 'supernatural childbirth' by Jackie Mize for the first time, I couldn't really relate (more li...

Healthy Money Diet

H-E-L-L-O, Recently, I read two great books that I can't but talk about. So, I want to talk to you too. lol Before we get started, may I make something profound? "Until you learn money/finance management, you would keep having money prayer/desires/frustrations" . How many times have you had to stare at your purse/bank account wishing some amount was there? Or, searching your wear's pocket just so you can find an extra cash (that you didn't put, definitely hoping for a miracle. The latter is so me-lol). There are pretty much things to write here, but just so I do not bore you, I'd just share a few of them trusting God that it blesses you richly. 1. Set financial goals . Every new year, we set new goals right? Have you ever included financial goals as one of your goals? Well, I actually never knew this was important, in fact, I used to think less about money because I felt it was sin and it would tamper with my kingdom mentality. After I read the...

Your Place in the Kingdom

Dear Sisters, I thank God for bringing us all into this new month of September, May it one we would live to remember for good in Jesus Name. I trust everyone is doing well. I encourage you not to be anxious, all things are working together in your favour. Relax! and let Jesus take the wheel. Recently, I have found myself in the 'thought- place' of purpose, life assignment and occupying my place in the Kingdom. And I would love to share some of those thoughts with you, I hope it blesses you. As a child of God we must know that God created us for a purpose only Him can reveal. However, on the journey to that purpose we have several assignments some of which include: being a helper, teacher, apostle, encourager, leader, and so on. Each individual's assignment is unique and none is inferior to another. Unfortunately, today we are often carried away by pomp and pageantry of others' assignments and look down on ours. Apostle Paul illustrates this using the vari...

Humbly Trusting God

Hello Sisters, As always it's a great privilege for me connecting with you on here and even greater joy that we are in the courts of our God, flourishing. I trust that you are doing well. My prayer for you and I is that we would experience the best of God this season. The first time I came across this phrase in the book of Micah I thought to myself, "which one is humbly trusting God agin? Can one trust with pride?" I mean trust is trust, why and what does it mean to be humble in this trust journey. "No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God." - Micah 6:8 NLT I began to realise that more often than not, we claim to trust God with the intention to still have things done (turn out) our way. We still want to have control and this is where pride comes in subtly. We have this illusion of control in our head while 'proclaming' our t...

WELCOME TO AUGUST

H-E-L-L-O Happy New Month to you sisters, It has been declared as our month of new beginnings, and so shall it be for you. Amen. For all those desires of yours, they are turning to testimonies and we shall rejoice with you. Do not trade you faith for doubt and let you confidence be firm in Him. This month shall be written in your favour. You shall get that miracle job this month! You shall gloriously locate your partner this month! That sickness is total destroyed! Every shame is wiped away! This month, it shall be evident you have your miracle baby(ies)! Your relationship with God shall be better than past months! You will get that scholarship and admission! You’re laying off that addiction and immoral attitude! In Jesus Name. Amen! Congratulations Sis!

Evil Appearances

Dear Sisters, It's a great opportunity to be on this platform connecting with you again 😘😘 such a wonderful privilege. I trust you are doing very well, my prayer for you this season is that your expectations this season shall not be cut short in Jesus Name. A big congratulations 🎉to our sisters that graduated last week, I pray that the forces of life would work in your favour. Abstain from evil [shrink from it and keep aloof from it] in whatever form or whatever kind it may be. - 1 Thessalonians 5:22 AMPC The word appearance is described as the way something or someone looks. Often times we think appearance comes in form of a person but no, appearance could be a 'something'. And while the thing still looks like (appear) evil, we ought to flee. It looked to Joseph like Potiphar's wife was scheming to sleep with him, he fled at the appearance of adultery. Our insensitivity to flee from these appearances make them gain grounds in us. Had Joseph waited, ...

Sacrifice of Praise

Dearest Sisters, I count it a huge privilege and joy to be alive this time of the year. Truly, it's of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed. I remember it was exactly a week to Easter that I was involved in a car accident and I came out unhurt, unscratched! To Him alone be all the praise forever, Amen. If it has not been the Lord who is on our side, we would have been swallowed up quick by the wicked - for this, we are grateful. I do not want you to read this post downcast because of the things you perceive undone, look on the brighter side and see what he has done. How bad can your situation be? the account in Habbakuk 3:17-19: "Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord ! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! The Sovereign Lord is m...

Child Like

Beloved Sisters, I trust God that everyone is doing very fine and it's my pleasure connecting with you once again. If you read the previous post on 'that desire might be a mistake' you would agree with me that we have all been there at some point of our lives. I have wanted things God did not supply, craved what is not in His plans for me. In the end, i (my Faith) have (has) felt inadequate and in fact sometimes withdrawn or unworthy. This brings me to today's discussion of being child-like in our walk with Christ. In Matthew 18:3-4, Jesus answered and said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven. So anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. Children are characterised by many things one of which is how a child trusts totally and 'blindly'. Let me put this in better perspective: My 15months old son gets an...

That Desire Might be a MISTAKE!

Hello Sisters, Would you be kind enough to answer this question? Thank you (lol). Have you ever had to look back and thank God for what you once desperately wished for to work out/happen but never did? I could almost bet quite a lot have been here before. Now, I want you to know that He has a plan. He knows you far beyond you could ever think or know. He has all the views and sees way clearer than you could ever, so, it’s only wise to trust His plans. Somethings might have not worked out yet or would not at all because He has only the best thoughts and plans for you. You probably do not need those and that step could even be a mistake or setback He is shielding you from. Hey, He could be saving you from a huge waste of time, money, emotions and so on. Trust me, I know how it feels to be desperate about a ‘desire’ and the feelings of disappointment, even shame that may emerge when it isn’t in view. But why don’t we see it as something we got saved from. For that ...

Humility

Dear Sisters, I thank God for His infinite mercies over you and I. It's the sixth month of the year and His mercies have been new each morning. In the order of Revelation 22:2 "It flowed down the center of the main street. On each side of the river grew a tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, with a fresh crop each month. The leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations"....may this month bear to us it's fruit in JESUS Name. Amem The subject of humility is one that is often misconstrue and easily flouted by many. Still it is one quality that is dear to the heart of God so much Jesus said in Matthew 5:5 that "God blesses those who are humble, for they will inherit the whole earth." Humility is described as being meek - being respectful of others. In fact, it is a fruit of the Spirit, "But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbea...

The Life After

Sweet Sister, I trust everyone is doing well. My prayer is that, may we all live a life truly worthy of His calling and His Kingdom. "And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?" Mark 8:36 NLT Sometimes we live through life and forget the life after. The life after is the end, this life we live now is a means to an end. We must never forget that. The question then is, does our current life portray this 'end'? Or we allow ourselves get lost in the flow of life that we forget we are sent here on an assignment. This is my admonition, that in our deeds, our speech, our daily living, we would do all with heaven in mind. This is the great commission: "Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit." -Matthew 28:19 NLT Let us consider our ways before we act, does it lead others to Christ or away from Him? What guides your actions? What i...

The WORD vs words

Hello Sis, It can be no truer that, “you don’t war with (mere) words, but The Word”.   There is absolutely nothing like a prayer warrior who only prays with mere words. Trust me, he is only in for a major exercise rather than results. You aren’t praying if you aren’t praying The Word. The Bible says, “Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly....” (Col. 3:16). Whatever it is that you desire, it is not enough to lock up yourself night and day ‘praying’ mere words. Reason is simple, The Word is His will. And His word says, “And this is the confidence we have in Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us”. As Christians, it’s time to stop making God seem as a liar and untrue to those who are without.  I think that it is only logic to do something the right way. If we have the right way to getting results, its only wisdom to do it. Now, I will say that, the word you have stuffed in you will not only help you pray aright but help duri...

YOUR APPOINTED TIME

Beloved Sisters, I believe you are doing very well. I bring you greetings in the name of our Father, Lord and Saviour - Jesus Christ. It's such a beautiful time to be alive. A time where blessings are outpouring, an outpouring that requires doggednes. "And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and engrave it so plainly upon tablets that everyone who passes may [be able to] read [it easily and quickly] as he hastens by. For the vision is yet for an appointed time and it hastens to the end [fulfillment]; it will not deceive or disappoint. Though it tarry, wait [earnestly] for it, because it will surely come; it will not be behindhand on its appointed day." - Habakkuk 2:2‭-‬3 AMPC Most times as believers, we are quick to throw in the towel when we seem to be faced with delays. We command every wall of delay around us to crumble In Jesus Name. A vehicle that's been faulty and taken severally to the mechanic does not go to a cobbler the next time...

PROCESS

Sisters, Happy New Month dearest, May this month birth abundant of miracles and yield it's increase to us. I believe God that we would all operate in His unlimited grace like never before. Today's discussion is not something we are unfamiliar with, however, we often neglect its importance to our walk with Christ. Lets take a cue frim butterflies: Butterflies go through several stages of metamorphosis. From being an egg to being a larva then a pupa then adult. Each of these phases has it's distinct goal. For example, caterpillars eat a lot while a pupa aims at reproduction. Let's consider the perfect example Jesus: In Matthew 3 He was baptized, Matthew 4 he was tempted by the devil after fasting for forty days and forty nights in the wilderness. All of these events was before he launched his Ministry. If the Master had to go through a process before He could progress then ours is inevitable. The joy is that we know that these processes leads to being what...

"Holy Spirit, help me"

Hey Sisters, Sometimes ago, I shared with a group of teenagers on anger management and I will like to do same with you today. Few years ago, I found myself in a very terrible situation I did not handle maturely, and as a result, I embarrassed and gave a very wrong image of myself. Now, I am not trying to please others, but I really value my image and name. I said so many terrible words, got really violent and wasn’t taking any chill pill at all because I felt cheated. In fact, people around me kept wondering what version of me was displaying before them. I couldn’t even coordinate myself, I was just going to let out my emotions without thinking of a better way to resolve the situation. After that incidence, I ran back to God asking Him to help my emotions and help me never to have a physical replay of that day, ever again. Overtime, I have learnt one trick, no matter how hurt or angered I am at someone or something, I am never going to speak immediately. So, I keep ...
