Comparison - The 'Joy Stealer'

Sisters, Its such a great pleasure being here with you, cheering each other on in this journey. Remember on our last discussion, we talked about how Joy is a 'fetcher' we use to draw from the well of salvation. Have you wondered what we can then get without this fetcher? NOTHING! This then would be one of the enemy's tool to deprive us from getting our salvation goodies. The enemy is known for being cunny however we are not unmindful of his devices. Comparison is a main deception tool. Apostle Paul says it like this: "Oh, don’t worry; we wouldn’t dare say that we are as wonderful as these other men who tell you how important they are! But they are only comparing themselves with each other, using themselves as the standard of measurement. How ignorant!" - 2 Corinthians 10:12 NLT Sis, don't let us be ignorant of the devices of (comparison) the enemy as the year ends. Yes I know Bimbo has everything put together, financial goals ✔ career goals ✔✔

He is Good to All

Dear Sisters, Still in the spirit of thanksgiving for the year 2017, I'd be addressing a sensitive topic today. I have an aunt who I once stayed with for a short time while in school. In all sincerity, she is all shades of nice and calm, and one will think I will very close to her. But one thing drew a clear boundary between us- her act of murmuring. I liked her much and really, she never wronged me all through my stay. But I couldn't deal with her act of murmuring and complaining. She never sees anything good in even the obvious. For instance, I could compliment her dressing and rather than give a simple 'thank you', she would begin to lament over the economy of the country and how she was suffering and how things were bad. At times, she could even say, "is this one good?" with all sense of seriousness. This was her lifestyle. Even though I could always go spend the weekend with her whenever I liked, I at times found myself not visiting a whole sess

Have you praised God today?

Join us as we dig it in a dance for Jesus: our Lord, Love and best friend today! We await your bountiful testimonies!!   Love always, J.

Even Though....

Sisters, It is often said that starting is good but more important is ending well. The bible even puts it better, "better is the end of a matter than its beginning". Eccelisiastes 7:8 So Sis, to be on this platform at this latter part of the year is a pointer that our latter days shall be greater than the former by His grace. Therefore, I count it a great privilege.😚 Speaking about the end of the year, it's not uncommon that we begin to take 'stock' and 'evaluate' the year so far. But here is my admonition to you: "Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord ! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! The Sovereign Lord is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights." Habakkuk 3

Go Again!

Beloved Sisters, I believe you are doing very well. I bring you greetings in the name of our Father, Lord and Saviour - Jesus Christ. It's such a beautiful time to be alive. A time where blessings are outpouring, an outpouring that requires doggednes. "And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times. And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man's hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down, that the rain stop thee not." 1 Kings 18:43‭-‬44 KJV Most times as believers, we are quick to turn back when answers are not forth coming. The moment we give the first blow and 'that thing' is still standing we give the verdict that it is over. When in actual fact, it is not over. 2017 will not end without us experiencing the manifestations of His prom

Are You Ready?

Hello Sisters, 1- "And the whole congregation of the children of  Israel assembled together at S hiloh , and set up the tabernacle of the congregation there. And the land was subdued before them. 2- And there remained among the children of Israel seven tribes, which had not yet received their inheritance. 3- And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long are ye slack to go to possess the land, which the LORD God of your fathers hath given you?" (Joshua 18:1-3) In very few days from now, we would be face to face with the King- Shiloh 2017. Yes, who is excited??? this particular season of the year is one we always anticipate. Are you ready? Are your hearts prepared? Are you setting up? is everything ready from your stance? What are your expectations? Are they in place?. Are you ready to behold Him and experience transformation into His likeness? At such a time as this, we have to be very prepared and sensitive. This is one of the best times to clea

Worship His Majesty

Worshipping God should not be a weekly or monthly experience for us as Women of God; it must be an everyday, every minute, and every moment encounter. In worship, we encounter God and God encounters us. It is in worship that we see the reality of Who God is and even so, Who He is to us. I took a session of worship at the annual Winners Chapel International Youth Worship Night. It will no doubt be a blessing to you.   Watch and be very blessed. Love always, J .

Sisters, It’s a beautiful time to be alive and we are grateful to be part of God’s army rising this season. It is exactly 33 days to the end of the year and you might be reading this with mixed emotions. Saying to yourself, ‘the year has not been so fantastic’ ‘I still have things I am believing God to do for me’ ‘when will God answer me’ ‘I need God to show up for me’….and the list goes on and on…..i understand and I feel you Sis. I bring you a message of hope today – DO NOT GIVE UP YET. That you are alive is a pointer to the fact that God isn’t done with you yet neither has he written you off yet. The bible says better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof.  Has He said it? Will He not do? It may seem like it’s not feasible anymore. The clock is ticking and you still haven’t ticked anything off that prayer list, I know and I understand. The only one who can come through for us is the Father but He needs us to ‘hang in’ there, believing. There’s littl

Woman Of Value

Hey Sisters, Welcome to a new week loaded and embedded with multiple of God's blessings for you and for me. Before we get started on today's post, I will pose a question to you. What have you added to yourself this year as a whole? What value are you adding to yourself? Have you allowed the past eleven months leave you the same way it met you? what have you done to increase your worth? The proverbs 13 woman was praised for her values. She was celebrated by reason of her worth. To increase you value as a either a business/career woman, wife, mother, woman in ministry you have to increase your worth. Look out for women who are setting the pace in the world at large, they are value adding women. Sis, stop sitting and claiming the aftermath of the proverbs 31 woman if you are not ready to do what she did. It isn't a once in a life thing, it is a continuous thong. To be reckoned with, to shine and become that light you have been ordained as, you have to play your r

Dearest Sister, I trust you are well. In a noisy world that we live in, do you sometimes listen to yourself talk? If you do, what do you hear? Thankfulness? Your words are a reflection of your thoughts and your thoughts reflects you! Take a second or two, pause and think over your utterances in the past hour or half hour...what do you sound like? Grateful? Complaining?

Dare To Trust Him

Hello Sisters, God is able to do exactly and even beyond what He has told You He would perform. He doesn't need your help nor a mans'. See, just dare to trust Him. None, not a single of His word will fall to the ground. Has He said it?- He'd perform it. It might seem to tarry, but He knows just when to blow up your mind. He knows how and when to sweep you off your feet. He knows exactly how to step in and bring to fulfillment all His spoken words to and concerning you. A recent event happened in my life. God told me something which was to be fulfilled towards a particular day. I waited eagerly each day for its performance, but it seemed not forth coming. Eventually, the day came and it still didn't happen. I was almost beginning to think God didn't speak to me, or perhaps I spoke to myself. And voila...just at night, it happened. I was in awe. I was amazed. It seemed so true to be real. That occurrence only spur my faith in Him, hence, I decided to help s

Finding Your Place in a Noisy World

Hello Sisters, It's so good to write to you, again. You know, in this world, we daily seek to let our voices be heard, yet struggle to see that become our reality. In a world so noisy, yelling for recognition surely would be an exercise in futility. Yet, God in His Word says, “… I will give you a good name, a name of distinction, among all the nations of the earth, as I restore your fortunes before their very eyes…”- Zephaniah 3:20. The question then is, “Lord, H O W?” Isn’t it interesting that God never wants us to concern ourselves with how He will do things but to trust that if He says it, He surely will do it (Titus 1:2)? So then, if He said it and will do it, what part do we have to play? Now, this is where this post comes in. As we earlier stated, we live in a largely noisy world – so, screaming louder would only make you a more participative part of the crowd. To stand out, we must be gentle and quiet in spirit (1 Peter 3:4). This does not in any way me

My sweet sisters, I can't believe it's been 5months of us meeting here week in, week out. I'm so thankful to God for this opportunity and the entire Women of the God Kind . I celebrate and love you.πŸ’• Its such a good feeling to know you have a family with the same kindred spirit in those you haven't even met physically. OK! Enough of the *mushiness* 😁 In Bishop Oyedepo's words, a faith that makes God totally responsible is an irresponsible faith. Irresponsible faith is when we say everything is up to God. My bible makes me understand that "Do you see any truly competent workers? They will serve kings rather than working for ordinary people.- Proverbs 22:29 (NLT) This means there's a place of preparation in every believer's assignment. Preparation is incomplete without diligence.  Being a believer makes incompetency inexcusable. A believer who sits around waiting for something to happen would wait forever because life only gives us what we

Sisters, I trust this post meets you well in Jesus Name. I understand this is a very ‘touchy’ subject and I will try to be as simple as possible. In mummy Adejumo’s words, life is governed by principles not miracles. Therefore, there are principles that govern finance and these are what the enemy is out to attack in different forms via different voices so we must be guided accordingly and pay attention. We must know that all these ill messages about kingdom finance are out to weaken our faith and make us disbelief God as the rewarder (Hebrews 11:6). Let’s examine a few lessons from the proverbs 31 woman, the sixteenth verse of proverbs 31 says ‘She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.’ – Proverbs 31:16 NIV The bible points out the fact that out of her earnings (referred to as fruits in some version) she plants (invests). This paints to me that she understands that  in every fruit, there is a seed . You cannot operate in the frequenc

Praise Him for the Hope...

Hello Sisters, It is very easy to thank God for the physical things He has done. It is easy to count your blessings and rejoice in the Lord with genuineness. It much easier to thank Him for the tangibles He has done-why? Because we see them, feel them or even, know them. But what happens when “Habakkuk 3:17” is the current state in a fellow’s life?  It seems to be that the whole praise understanding vanishes, such that, even when praise is engaged, it’s done with little or no understanding. May I encourage someone with this post? Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, they are thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you an expected end.” Another version says, “….a future and a hope”. Yes, glory, halleluiah. These are the scriptures that gives us hope. In marrying these two scriptures together, it opens our eyes to see that in that dry situation, we should thank God for the future that we are promised. We thank Him for those good

Happy November!

Hey Sisters, This will be a month of fulfillment of dreams for you, in Jesus name!  Everything you have desired to make happen, this month, they shall be fulfilled in Jesus mighty name. Do not loose hope, it is not over. Fulfillment awaits you. Lay hold on it. G et at the moves again, the year is not over, and this time, it shall turn out well.  Happy new month. Congratulations Sisters!!

Dearest Sisters, Its such a pleasure writing you today, the last day of the month of October. Look around you, there's something to be thankful for. Having used 10 of 12 months, its not unlikely that you might feel like you've not attained those miles you had hoped for. Rejoice! Because before miles comes phases and in those phases are lessons, little victories, and many more. “Life is in phases; men are in sizes” – Bishop David Oyedepo The farther you go, the better and clearer you see. But first, you have to be in motion. Don’t expect to see clearer when you haven’t yet taken a step. Only those who take steps are entitled to clearer vision. Isaac Newton said, “To explain all  nature  is too difficult a task for any one man or even for any one age... I keep the subject constantly before me, and wait till the first dawnings open slowly, by little and little, into a full and clear  light .” God never wants to share his glory with anybody so He retains the title of

Which Way?

Hello Sis, We have such limited sights and understanding that leaves us dependable on someone for guide. Our minds are limited, hence, we need total reliance on His Spirit to show us just the right way. May I drop here that His Spirit is the Spirit of Guidance that points us to the exact way/path/direction. He has promised us that “our ears shall hear a word behind us, saying, this is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left” (Is.30:21).  With this Spirit, there is no or dilly-dally nor confusion. His voice is clear and simple enough to understand. Sis, the way out of that confusion and obscurity is His Spirit. His spirit is the Spirit of Light, hence, darkness is not permitted. When I was really young, I dreaded waking at nights. This was because, usually, I woke facing the wardrobe which had clothes hung on it. Certain images will then begin to form, very scary images that made me sweat and even have nightmares. Now, these im

Shall Stand...

Hey sisters, Seest thou a man DILIGENT in His business? he SHALL stand before kings; he SHALL NOT stand before mean men.  Proverbs 22:29 (KJV) I see the scripture above as a covenant. How committed are you to the things committed to you? In whatever you have at hand, show diligence and commitment even if you do not seem to be motivated. Truth of the matter is, there is always a reward for hard-work. The law of seed time and harvest is real. You can't sow into something and not be rewarded.

Who is in your company?

Beloved Sisters, How are you all doing? How is work/family/business/school? I trust God to bless the work of our hands and grant us undeniable exploits all round. There is such a thing as the grace of association. Genesis 13:5 shows that Lot’s blessing was a function of his association with Abraham at the time. Which is why the moment Lot separated from Abram, the grace of association he was latching unto began to diminish. It is impossible to be in a moving vehicle and remain stagnant. The Bible says a company of fools is destroyed. Let us examine the phrase ‘company of fools’. It means people who have foolishness in common. There’s no such thing as being neutral in life; someone either influences you or you are influencing someone. Now, who influences you or whom you influence is a function of your circle of association. Let me explain a bit more here. I’m sure you will relate to this if you drive or even if you’ve been a passenger before. There are some passengers you

Hey Sisters, Romans 6:1 says, “Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?” I have heard a couple of messages on ‘Grace’ that it is almost baffling and I really want to assume I didn’t get the real message  well. This post isn’t in any way affiliated with ‘condemnation’. Oh yes, our God forgives but He craves we live a life pleasing unto Him. He doesn’t condemn us, but desires that we tread on the paths of righteousness. Grace saves and as a matter of truth, we were saved through the immeasurable grace Jesus bestowed on us. But, while so many hide under grace to keep sinning, why not receive grace to overcome your weaknesses.

Bespoke Vs. Ready-made

My kingdom Sisters, I have been longing to write to you this week. I count it a great priviledge to connect with you every week. It's been a beautiful journey and even as Women of the God kind clocks 2, God has been faithful and He is worthy of all honour and adoration. Congratulations my sisters.

Hurray, One......Two...... incredible years of: A super amazing journey, Testimonies, Sisterhood, Growth, Light, Love! .........(kindly chip in yours in the comments section). Isn't He just so faithful? Two years and we are here, and still counting. We have enjoyed His Speed, Grace, Help and much more, His Love.

New Beginnings

After 2 years of blogging on one platform, changing lives by the directive of the Holy Spirit, Women Of The God Kind has a new home. The objective remains the same, and the goal to lead women closer to the heart of Jesus continues to burn bright. So, this is a new adventure in Christ. Deeper in Him, walking in His steps, following closely and walking in His shadow.
