By Their Fruits

Hello Beautiful, How are you doing? And how has the lockdown been on your end? Eased or still very much on? I understand some of us have returned to work, how has it been for you? I really want to know. I am still working from home for now. May God’s Covenant of Protection abide with our families and us now and always. Amen! Recently I was meditating on the story of Ruth, and I began to wonder why she decided to follow Naomi to serve her GOD. What exactly made her willingness to follow her despite the ‘calamities’ she had just faced? Would we say that it was a case of the good deeds Ruth saw in Naomi’s life? Not quite! For Naomi, it was the opposite. Nothing was exciting about a woman who lost her husband and two grown-up sons. That was Naomi’s case. If anything, what Naomi had encountered is enough to cause any believer to backslide, let alone someone to be able to convince someone from a background where they worshipped gods to follow her. So I am sure we can all agree it was...

MY TESTIMONY: VICTORY OVER DEATH

Hello Beautiful, Happy Easter! I trust that this post meets you well, I am confident that this year shall end in praise for us all. Amen.  Today, I share my testimony over death, read and be blessed:      It was a bright morning of Wednesday, March 18, 2020 when I got up to get my boys ready for their visa appointment at the TLS. I was at work the previous day and knowing that I had to take them for this appointment, I applied for a day casual leave from work. Well, it was a good thing I did because this disaster could have met me at work, and only God knows what would have happened. This experience made me understand why the steps of the righteous are indeed ordered by the Lord. When you are in Christ, you just find your choices aligning.     As I got my boys dressed, I began to feel slight abdominal pains which I didn't take seriously. I proceeded to make breakfast and while I was at it, my stomach began to hurt uncontrol...

Would you let Him have your 5 loaves & 2 fishes?

Dear Sisters, I hope your week and month has been off to a great start. For me, the last two weeks have been intense as I was studying for my promotion exam at work. After days and nights of reading, I took the exam on Saturday. And honestly, I didn't come out of the hall feeling like I smashed it as I had wanted. While a lot of deliberations went on between my colleagues and I on how the exam went, I found myself muttering from within "God, I have given you my five loaves and two fishes, multiply it". The revelation gave me so much peace and confidence! Are you thinking about what you have as insufficient? Do your efforts towards that thing appear inadequate? Then this is for you - let God have your bread and fish. He will multiply it. Sisters, that is the seed required. Let him have it. Unfortunately, quite a number of us give him our bread and fish, but turn back in one hand to retrieve it; we are too in a hurry. Look at the little boy of John 6:1-14, he trust...

DON'T TAKE THE THINGS OF THE SPIRIT FOR GRANTED

Dear Sisters, The much anticipated 2020 is here! Happy New Year family. I trust that you had a wonderful and love-filled holiday. I did. This year I pray that you shall work in abundance, you shall move in the speed of the holy ghost, and you shall be profusely favoured. At the start of the year, I said to myself “I will read a lot of familiar Bible stories again and again”. This resolution was borne out of the revelations I caught in December when I did a study of the book of Luke, I realised there were lots of things I assumed how it occurred. Assumptions from bible school days and fellowships. Unfortunately, these assumptions aren’t how some of these bible accounts happened. They have been paraphrased so much that the accuracy of scriptures has been lost. That is why it is essential not to get too familiar with the things of the Spirit and ensure that what we know of God is what is contained in the scriptures. We must find and know God for ourselves. Another reason w...

Dedication List

Hey Sisters, You have no idea how glad I am to be write to you. So, this post is basically to share my thoughts on 'dedication list'. At the just-concluded Shiloh (an annual gathering of the Winners' Family for encounters through the word), a message was preached on Dedication. As the message was going on, I flipped to the other side of my note and started drawing out my dedication list. Beneath it, I wrote "Never negotiate your commitment with the devil". Oh yes, its a way of harassing myself๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€ After I drew it, I had it pasted on a smooth surface in my room where I could see it as many times as possible in a day. I took practical steps the following day or maybe even that day (can't really remember) by ticking off a few of them. Thankfully, I have been able to achieve them and I have been praying to God for consistency because it's key. It's never enough to start. Each day, I see myself not just trying to abide by the list but living th...

Impact Your World

Dear Sisters, I count it a great privilege each time I am opportune to be here to share what our Father has laid in my heart for us this season. Such an honour, one that I remain grateful for. I hope you have had a November to remember. May God make all grace abound towards us all. Amen. I was at my desk at work when a retired staff of the institution walked in, and he began to greet everyone he knew from way back. While there was the feeling of excitement in the air, some thought and questions stirred up on my inside and the answer to my question is part of what informed today's post. Seeing this retired colleague made me say to myself "so it that all about life? Work for 35 years and then what?" Well, I got a nudge in response which said to me "you are made for more, to impact your world". Immediately the holy spirit reminded me of the bible passage I had read earlier in the day, 1 Peter 4:8‭-‬10 where Peter was admonishing believers on how to live...

Worrying in motion?

Dear Sisters, I want you to know that writing to you each time on this platform for me is always a privilege that I do not take for granted. I acknowledge that the grace of God is mighty in our midst, and each time the Word of God is shared; the breath of the Almighty is present. Welcome to the month of November, it shall be your best month yet. Your testimonies this month shall surpass all that you have experienced from January to October. Today's discussion isn't something that is unfamiliar.  I consider it one of the cliched subject matter. However, I pray that as you read, you will be blessed. Recently, on a Saturday, I took my second son for immunization, and while on our way, I felt we were running a bit behind the scheduled time for vaccination at the hospital. I wasn't the one driving, but I was driving. What I mean is that I was thinking of how fast the diver could have moved, how he could have avoided a port-whole for us to save time. I did this so much...
